Dear Friends,
I have received this letter from Glennda Hardin of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church appealing for volunteers for the Hungerbusters program:
"Hungerbusters, the summer meal plan for the children of Liberty, is woefully short of volunteers so far. We have only about a fourth of the number we need. This ministry was begun five years ago as a partnership among LISD [Liberty ISD], Texas AgriLife, and the churches, and we've had good participation in the past from most of the congregations. We had the kickoff meeting on Monday, and had a very small turnout.
Thanks for your help with Hungerbusters. We served over 47,000 meals last summer. That's a lot of hungry kids!

Considering our longstanding participation with this program, please continue to volunteer your time this summer to this worthy cause."
P.S. It is my pleasure to tell my church family that DeeAnn and I will be with you for a third year.
